Marea y Madera

A raku bowl shows its white crackle and cobalt strokes over a base blackened by smoke, a piece of driftwood laid across its mouth and bound with cord. Tide and wood meet where the sea leaves what it carries — fire gave the color, chance drew the crack, the current brought the rest.
